How It Works

Registration is completely free and takes under 60 seconds. Go to Register and fill in:

• Your name, username, and password
• Your WhatsApp number — buyers contact you directly on this
• Your country — choose from all 54 African nations
• Your city and contact preference

You can start listing immediately after registering. No email verification required.

The Continental Hub shows all listings across Africa. Use the search bar to filter by keyword, country, and category simultaneously.

Browse by category at Categories — 15 categories including Property, Vehicles, Electronics, Services, Jobs, Agriculture, Tourist Services, and more.

Featured listings appear at the top of the hub with a gold star badge — these are handpicked by our team for quality and reliability.

Frican covers all 54 African countries — the only continental marketplace of its kind. Filter listings by:

• Country — click any flag on the hub or use the search dropdown
• Region — Southern, Eastern, Western, Central, or Northern Africa
• URL shortcut — e.g. /?country=KE for Kenya listings only

The country grid shows live listing counts per country — countries with active listings are highlighted in gold.

Every listing has a WhatsApp button — tap it and you're taken directly to a WhatsApp chat with the seller. No intermediary, no commission, no delays.

You can also send an on-site inquiry from the listing page — fill in the form and the message goes to the seller's dashboard.

Check the seller's online status — a green dot means they were active within the last 5 minutes. You can also view their full seller profile showing all their active listings.

Go to Place Listing (you must be logged in). Fill in:

• Title — clear and descriptive (e.g. "Toyota Hilux 2019 — Nairobi")
• Category — choose the most relevant from 15 categories
• Country & city — where the item is located
• Price & currency — auto-filled based on your country
• Description — be detailed: condition, age, delivery options, etc.
• Photos — up to 6 images (JPG, PNG). Listings with photos get 5x more views.
• Video — optional short video for vehicles, property, demos

Listings go live immediately after submission. They stay active for 60 days — renew from your dashboard to keep them live longer.

From your listing page or dashboard you can:

• Edit — update title, price, description, or location anytime
• Mark as Sold — removes the listing from search results and shows a SOLD banner
• Renew — resets the 60-day clock, keeping your listing at the top
• Delete — permanently removes the listing from the platform

Listings older than 60 days are flagged as expired in your dashboard with a red warning. Renew them to restore full visibility.

Your Dashboard is your control centre. From here you can:

• See all your listings with their status, views, and age
• See your unread messages — a red badge appears on the Dashboard button when you have new inquiries
• Sort listings by date, price, or views
• Renew, edit, sell, or delete any listing in one click
• Update your profile and contact details

Every registered user gets a public seller profile at /seller/your-username. Your profile shows:

• Your name, title, country flag, and location
• Your online/offline status
• All your active listings in one place
• A direct WhatsApp button

Share your profile link with customers so they can see everything you're selling in one place.

• Always meet in a public place for high-value transactions
• Never pay in advance without verifying the item in person
• Be cautious of prices that seem too good to be true
• For property, always verify title deeds before paying any deposit
• Use WhatsApp video calls to verify the item remotely before travelling
• Report suspicious listings via the Contact page

Featured listings appear at the top of the Continental Hub with a gold ⭐ Featured badge. They get significantly more views than regular listings.

To get your listing featured, contact us with your listing ID and we will review it. Featured placement is available for businesses and high-quality listings.
